Our Final Project for Intro to Digital Media I last semester was to make a video using iMovie. It can be an actual film video, animation w/ Photoshop, or stop-motion animation (continuous still frames).

I chose to make a Stop-Motion Animation using a bjd (ball-jointed doll) and Shiro, the, uhm, mouse/hamster/rodent. xD And man, was it HARD! >_< My prof gave no tips whatsoever. So all i did was trial and error since I've never done this before. >_>

This is mostly conceptual: interpret-it-as-you-wish kind of thing.

All frames were taken by me, by myself. All are Still Frames in Sequence. I was using a Nikon D80 with a Tamron 28-80mm lens. And a tripod and reading lamp. Yes, a yellow-bulb reading lamp with a bendy head (Thanks uncle! xD). All props were either made or bought. Those bought come from Daiso. ;3

As rough and sketchy as this seems, I am proud of this little video. Especially of the 'drawing of the moon' part. Little smooth calligraphy there~ x3 I Photoshoped EVERY FRIGGIN' FRAME of that scene backwards. >_> (the moon was already there, just had to erase it frame-by-painful-frame.) I was so confident it would be easy... Such an idiot. LOL. Well, it looks easy, it sounds easy, BUT when actually done, reality reminds you that why yes, there are shadows on the paper you're editing. =__= AND there are shadows on the wall too! and they are moving along with the action. <--had to edit my hand out in the scenes where he's bending to reach the box. >_>

As for the model... uhm... that's Rin... he kinda had to "dress up" for me since i don't own any girl MSDs... *swtdrp* ehehe...

Wolf is home (well, his body is, finally >_> ) and well, since it's been SO FRAGGING HOT it's hard to sleep, what better way to pass the time then to practice bjd face-ups? :D

i'm not sure if it's Testors that makes it yellow-y... tho i've heard it does that. but until i can get my hands on MSC, this will have to do.

also, i now need to correct myself about "eyebrows being the most difficult part" about face-ups... well, they are STILL difficult, but i think i discovered something more frustrating than that... sadly, i can't remember what it is right now. =__=;;

anyway, i dare say it's pretty good for a first attempt! xD mind, i will change this, just posting this up for future reference and lolz. 8D

just thought i'd commemorate Mikhail's one-year anniversary. he has been living with me for a year now! xD

oh,oh, and lookie! i got his IDtag done about a month ago, but only had the chance to take a pic last 13th. :3
(i'm not sure if it's noticeable, but i changed his eyelashes since the last photoshoot spree xD)

and if you're wondering, the white stuff behind him are his wings. x3

the postman left a notice yesterday, but since i was out, i wasn't able to pick it up yesterday. ^^;

BUT!

Luts really did a wonderful job~ *__* i was so scared that they'd mess up my order since i've heard lots of stories like that, especially now that they have been really behind in their orders/deliveries. (Rin's head was a month late ^^;)

i was lucky too, since Luts annouced a few weeks ago that they would stop accepting custom make-up, and just recently announced that they won't be taking any default make-up orders either due to the lateness of all their orders. see, thing is, Rin's make-up isn't the default for the "Elf Head Part", but the default for the normal "Ttori boy set". and they were nice enough to accept my request to make his eyelashes brown x3 (it's still dark, but hey, at least they didn't mess it up! x3)

i'm still amazed that the Luts' BW resin matches DollZone BW body *__* (Rin is a hybrid since Luts stopped making Kid Delf bodies in BW when i got enough money to place my order T_T)

so yeah~ Rin is hoooomee~~~ x3 (and complete~~ xDD LOLz)

he still doesnt have much in terms of clothes tho. ; ^; nothing nice to use as casual clothes for going out yet >_> he only has his pajamas and the yukata that came with his body last Tanabata. ^^; hopefully, i'll learn fast enough to decipher the instructions on those pattern packets to start making actual clothes. xD

Btw, his full name is Rinthilios Isolórë :3 i just have this wonderful habit to making nicknames for everyone. xD oh, and, don't be fooled by his cute/innocent looks...he's as snarky as snarky can get. xD (and never, EVER call him 'girly'. he'll bite your head off. ^^; ) (and since i'm watching/reading too much TeniPuri, i just nocied that he's kinda like Ryoma in a way... the snarky part.)

last night, i remembered why i love Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass so much... it was my favorite big picture book when i was a kid... and interestingly enough, Alice was also technically my first 'cosplay' (READ: Book Parade when i was i think 6 or 7...for two consecutive years... i had a pink frilly apron instead of white tho x3 which i loved to bits.)

I have known about their pet cat dolls, but never really took the time to stare at the new rabbit. T_T seeing him (rabbit) now, makes me want the cat too, just so i can practice painting it and turn the cat into a Cheshire Cat! T_______T

Odd Wishes...?

i've actually been thinking about this ever since i met Selmada's cute little bjd girl Miaka...
i was never into "Tines" (the 'little kid' bjds that are 30cm and smaller) but having seen Miaka and being able to babysit her for about a month kinda changed that... mind tho that i never plan on getting a Tiny myself, it just made me more aware of how adorably sweet they really are. and yes, taking care of one is like taking care of a little kid. :3

first successful photoshoot EVER last sunday. but before i start squeeing at Mikhail's coolness, let me tell you a story...


so that's my story. if you've read Mikhail's registry on Atziluth, then you also know a little bit about his personality. ;3


and here are the new ones from our first photoshoot! x3 (please bear in mind that he does not usually dress this way... he prefers pants and plain shirts. but Mi-chan's a good sport when in come to dressing up for photoshoots. x3 he thinks it's amusing how i gush over him. xDD) [dec. 18, 2006]

but as much as i totally love the concept and that smirk, there is just something i find that i totally do not like about his face... dunno what tho... maybe it's the shape of the jaw or something...(that or i've been staring at SA Hound for too long....O_o)
